This is the 1/12 scale version of the TA 152. Our kit is manufactured using our time and combat tested method of foam and tape construction. You don't have to use tape but after building and flying these things for over 8 years now, I can tell you there isn't any other method of building that is faster, tougher, or easier than building a tape ball. That having been said, we have plenty of adventuresome folks out there who are sheeting the planes with balsa (yuck!) or glassing them with epoxy and cloth. Some guys are using water based clear poly and rip-stop cloth. Basically, you can do what you want with them, and that is the beauty of foamies from JK Aerotech.

There are no hard and fast rules except one --- that is - what ever you do with them - unleash your creativity on the work bench and in the air because there is nothing like JK Aerotech out there that you can fly with a carefree ( or some would say - careless) attitude and --- have some fun.

The TA is agile and quick. The graceful lines look fabulous in the air and the long wings do tend to nab more ribbons. This is a very easy aircraft to fly when measured against other 1/12 scale planes. Ample wing area give it a very slow and smooth glide and stall is virtually nonexistent. Construction is our typical foam and tape with coroplast tails and fuselage doublers. This model was taped up in our Olive Drab tape then painted with Krylon Cammo colors. The decorations are all done with colored electrical tape of various widths. I found a selection of thin colored electrical tape at a home improvement store one time and it works pretty well.
