Customer comments on the FW190

This came in from Jack Hamilton who was stationed in Japan at the time:

Well!

As the story goes I was competing in an F3A Competition, and at Half time We put a Combat Demo on.  Me with the FW190 from you guys with a slush bucket 25LA.  The Other guys tried to gang up on me with their new style Balsa/Foam Box fuse styles.  Don't even know the name as it was a moot point since the FW190 would out turn and had speed to spare.  Well after I took a cut off each of the other guys, I announced to the Audience that I would crash the Plane into the Tarmac (Air Port Concrete).  I was at about 50 ft and gave it down to a straight Dive.  SMACK! right on the prop nut, dusted it off Hit the Glow to it and took off again HAHAHAHA! the Japanese were in amazement. Funniest thing was is didn't notice but the Wing was cracked in half dead center.  So the Wing on Turn's would fold like a butterfly (get the picture).  That a handful.  Well anyhow your planes held up to the test thanks it was a blast.

Jack Hamilton.

I just want to drop you guys a note to say how much I love your kits.   I finally test flew my FW and the Jug this past Sunday (at our Winter Fun Fly) and all I can say is WOW!  I actually crashed the FW several times due to engine failure on launches, and the last one the plane corkscrewed in from about 100' and hit the frozen ground HARD!!!  This was due to a snapped left aileron control horn from the last bad launch, I was "flying" with only one operational aileron and didn't know it.  Guess what happened to the plane as a result?  Absolutely nothing', couldn't even tell it crashed once, let alone 3 times that day.  These things Rock!  After I got my engine running correctly and the control horn swapped out it flew like a rocket powered force ready for battle!  Really cool.  I wouldn't be surprised if you get more people from Maine buying your kits, many people from my club asked for your www address after seeing the "damage" my plane suffered. Also, the Jug is a scale combat beginners dream, talk about an easy plane to fly!  Keep these kits coming, looking forward to the TA-152!
