Lightning in motion is a very apt description of the P47. He's big and He's very bad! Just flew the silver Jug today and -- I'm impressed! The size and beauty (if you can call foamies beautiful) are almost overwhelming. I'm used to little Migs and Mustangs in combat. Up to this point the largest plane we had in the hanger was the Corsair but the Jug seems much larger by comparison. With a standard Magnum .25 the performance is excellent and very fast with unlimited vertical. Handling is positive and very stable. Do you like the chrome silver finish? If so we should have some of that in stock as a special order item. More on that later. I have no doubt the P47 will become a favorite with the combat crowd with it's big, bold, in your face imposing size. The main thing here is to hand out a warning slip to the other combatants to please, for their planes well being, KEEP OUT'A THE WAY!  Of course if your interested in a durable knock-about sport plane - this one's for you. And if you just have a lust for speed - stick a .46 with a tuned pipe on it and hang on!

The kit comes as a three - in - one configuration so you can build it several different ways: The old Razorback, The later bubble top, or the long wing P47N or H versions. We provide the parts for any of the versions and you could mix and match as I did for a long elliptical wing that looks like the short elliptical wing for you guys that would like to take advantage of the 2610 10% rule. There is also a dorsal fin for the N and H versions you can add to the regular tail section. We have included a Sig canopy that, while not exact, does a fair job at emulating a Jug canopy.

This is the parts layout except I forgot to include the firewall in the picture. It comes with one roll of colored tape, clear canopy and razorback, spars, pushrod wires and control horns.

We have the silver Mylar tape available for an extra $20 over the regular kit price. That's right, I said $20. Sorry but they sell outright for $25 a roll - but wait!, the roll has almost enough to cover two kits. So it would be about the same as covering the plane with silver iron on covering.  So it still isn't a bad deal plus it has the advantages of quick repair, and the toughness of tape.

A trick I use to save the expensive stuff is to use a standard packing tape to do double up in the hidden places then only use the silver for the final finish.
